“Beyond Apollo” Movie Looking Good For Sci-Fi

beyond apolloThe sci-fi film “Beyond Apollo” based on Barry Malzberg’s controversial novel is shaping up to be a stellar science fiction saga. The novel has been around for over 30 years and is a sci-fi reader must. With a new Apollo inspired poster and a beautifully lookbook unveiling the classic 60 future industrial contemporary style and artistic format for the movie adaptations concept and a website that is as mysterious and intriguing as any space age conspiracy can muster, “Beyond Apollo” is a film that already has my attention and excitement. The project is being helmed by Michael Grodner and set to star Bill Pullman, Scott Speedman and Ali Larter. Imagine  “Apollo 18” with the awesome production of “Solaris” and an almost doomed haunting awareness of the darker side of the universe and you will have “Beyond Apollo”.

The first two-man mission to Venus is aborted in mid-flight and abruptly returns back to Earth. When rescue crews go to retrieve the space capsule, they make a startling discovery: The Captain is missing there is no sign of his body whatsoever - and strangely enough, the lone surviving astronaut has no clue about what took place.

Beyond Apollo tells the riveting story of when that astronaut, Harry Evans, returns to earth and must answer to the authorities about what really happened on board the doomed flight to Venus. His mind-bending struggle to figure that out is a harrowing journey through the possibilities: Was the Captain murdered? Did he commit suicide? Or were alien beings responsible for his demise? The answer, as Evans will eventually discover, is far more terrifying than anything he could possibly imagine. Check out the website here and and watch the lookbook here!
