According to Variety, Lionsgate is in negotiations to obtain “Lovely Monster”. The film adaptation in the works is from Francesco Calabrese’s short film. It is the story of a young woman who is battling a debilitating disease that turns her into a monster. The film will be Calabrese’s feature debut but the Italian director is no stranger to the industry having created a buzz over his other short films “Maggie” and “Death By Sexy”.
