The first footage for the remake of “Maniac” as envisioned by William Lustig has come online. The film’s reboot from 80’s cult classic into this new era of shock horror grindcore fast paced genre has been all the buzz since it was first announced. My biggest eyebrow raise came over word of Elijah Wood cast as the psycho killer! How awesomely questionable is that move?! It will either be brilliant and jaw dropping or a big fat failure. Gods I so hope for the first, this is one of my favorite cult films were the killer is not just a masked slasher but an actual homicidal flesh n blood maniac!
