OUTCAST MOVIE NEWS AND TRAILER...
Yesterday Vertigo Films released the first trailer for Colm McCarthy's Outcast (review), while this morning the new UK quad poster teases a look at the creature. The pic tells the tale of Petronella (a Scottish/Romany girl) and Fergal (her mysterious Irish traveller boyfriend). As their doomed relationship plays out, a Beast stalks the estate, killing locals, working its way towards our protagonists. Meanwhile Cathal and Liam, two mysterious travellers from Ireland use ritual and magic on a blood hunt. Mary, Fergal's mother performs ritual and magic of her own. As Cathal comes face to face with Mary in a vicious finale we know one thing: the Beast must die.
LORDI NEW MASK AND ALBUM NEWS...
Each time Finnish “monster” band Lordi comes out with a new album, they also come up with new masks. Here’s a (low-res) look at what we can expect visually from the band in conjunction with the release of their upcoming fifth album Babez For Breakfast, out Sept. 14 through The End Records in North America. The album’s first single, “This Is Heavy Metal,” will be released this Friday, Aug. 6 as a 69-cent download. Har har.
