The film, based on the popular comic book series of the same name, tells the tale of six private school students locked in a Saturday detention with a killer on the loose. Ben Browder ("Farscape", "Stargate SG-1", "Doctor Who") also stars, as well as Ali Faulkner ("Bianca" in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1), Roger Edwards (Freelancers), Marc Donato ("Degrassi: The Next Generation"), Cameron Deane Stewart (Pitch Perfect), Augie Duke ("The Mentalist"), Amanda Alch (When Zachary Beaver Came to Town), Jeffrey Schmidt (Interstate), and Chanel Ryan (BASEketball) . Marlon Wayans Takes On A Haunted House

Well it was just a matter of time and quite frankly I am shocked it took this long but a horror/comedy of sorts is coming our way featuring a Wayans. Marlon Wayans will take on the never ending ecto-flow of paranormal and found footage films to possess the horror genre in the new comedy flick “A Haunted House”. Check out the poster released for the film below.

In an outrageous send up of the “Paranormal Activity” movies, “The Devil Inside” and other “found footage” movies, “A Haunted House” features young couple Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) and Kisha (Essence Atkins) who have just moved in to their dream house. As they settle in, they quickly find they’re not alone. But it’s not the house that’s haunted, it’s Malcolm’s girlfriend who is possessed by a demon. Malcolm hires everyone from a priest to modern day ghostbusters to rid her of this unwelcome intruder, determined not to let the evil spirit ruin his relationship… or, more importantly, his sex life.

Directed by Fede Alvarez the 2013 film will prove to be more scary, more brutal, and a hell of a lot darker than the original film. It stars Jane Levy (“Suburgatory”) as Mia; Shiloh Fernandez (Deadgirl, Red Riding Hood) as David; Lou Taylor Pucci (Carriers) as Eric; Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) as Olivia, and Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker) as Natalie. The film has screened well and seems to have silenced most negative thoughts surrounding the picture after festival screenings revealed the awesome-ness of the new story which is heavily endorsed by Bruce Campbell himself.

“Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book of the Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”
