The first teaser for the much buzzed remake of Stephen King’s “Carrie” has been revealed. Giving fans a little gory tease of that iconic scene that is (quite frankly) the only reason to sit and watch the original. Take out that and the 1976 film version of the darkly disturbing coming of age movie is really just a Lifetime Movie. The 2013 will stay closer to the written story and manage to silhouette those iconic moments in the original film with a darker truer telling of Stephen King’s twisted tale. Plus Chloe Grace Moretz is that special kind of actress that can bring the deeply haunting atmosphere a remake like this needs to be successful. I wasn’t sure until I watched “Texas Killing Fields”. There is a seriousness that emanates from the young actress’s eyes and body language that some actresses twice her age have yet to master. This remake is one that I am happily finding will probably be a pretty great flick. Check out the tease below.
“Carrie” 2013 comes out March 15, 2013 with Julianne Moore playing the role of Carrie’s religiously psychotic mother. The film is directed by Kimberley Pierce who debuted the image at NYCC this past weekend also giving the audience a look at the trailer. Can’t wait to see that!!
