Recently released zombie flick “Pop Punk Zombies” by Brain Damage Films directed by Steve Dayton and Starring Ian Kane, Nicholas Marinucci, Laura Savagem and Eric Leitzen has all the energy and rebellion of “Blank Generation” which was a great little indie punk film in the 80’s. “Pop Punk Zombies” has taken that same youthful indie vibe and blended it effortlessly with our favorite de jure horror genre- zombie culture and blended a great tongue in cheek culture film filled with gore grunge and youth in revolt!. It is a true coming of age in an age of the zombie apocalypse a go-go!
A high powered music agent brings three recently deceased rockers back from the grave to form the first zombie punk band. Eddy, the leading character, is dragged to the concert by his buddy Ciez, but only stays to see his ex-girlfriend, Lisa. The show is cut short when the zombies break free and the gruesome flesh-eating ensues. Soon Eddy must save his friends from certain doom and becoming...Pop Punk Zombies.
