This film is on many a list as one of the worst films ever made. I like the film a lot. Yeah the story is if-y and a bit choppy at times and the acting is not quite there but it has great vision and a very avant-garde style that makes you fill groovy. It doesn’t help to be high while viewing this one.
A newcomer to a fancy ballet academy gradually comes to realize that the staff of the school are actually a coven of witches bent on chaos and destruction.
A later nod to 'Suspiria' , this film has a American college student in Rome, and his sister in New York investigating a series of killings in both locations where their resident addresses are the domain of two covens of witches.
A 300-year-old witch terrorizes a college town to get revenge on the descendant of the man who persecuted her.
A warlock flees from the 17th to the 20th century, with a witch-hunter in hot pursuit.
A newcomer to a Catholic prep high school falls in with a trio of outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft and they all soon conjure up various spells and curses against those who even slightly anger them.
And yeah before anyone says anything I am well aware that “The Witches of Eastwick” was a good movie but it wasn’t horror or scary at all. “The Craft” had a more edgy thriller flow to it so I chose it. I like my witches with a little more bitterness and a much darker pallet.
