"Darkest Hour" Shut Down Due To Wild Fires

Summit Entertainment/New Regency's alien-invasion film "The Darkest Hour" has temporarily halted production due to Russia’s wildfire emergency. According to Variety, producers on the film decided to suspend production for two weeks on health and safety grounds. Summit’s decision comes after a week of Russia's worst ever wildfires in which 52 people have died and close to 2,000 homes have been destroyed. "The Darkest Hour" stars Olivia Thirlby and Emile Hirsch. The film focuses on a group of Americans fighting off an alien invasion while vacationing in the Russian capital of Moscow.
