I liked the remake, but I love the classic more. The bad acting, cheesy sound fx, and awesome gorey props were the best. The idea that the most romantic and horniest day of the year is also the deadliest. I live in the coal fields so there is an added affection for this movie.
The town getting ready for the first valentines party in 20 years.
Welcome to Valentine Bluffs...
Nothing like a bleeding organ to say I slay you with all my heart!
20 years ago in 1960 an accident at the mines brings hell on this town. Harry Warden comes back every year to make sure they never have another dance-oh well! Party Time!
Miss Mabel is the first to die this time around in the laundry mat. When I was a kid there was a laundry down the street that had these same blue dryers.
Amazed that the sheriff noticed the upside down hearts right away but didn't notice the big red mess on the dryer door til his second go around the shop.
The mayor cancels the dance setting the scene for a underground slaughter fest. They set out to have the party in the mines!
The bar man gets it setting up a prank to scare the kids. Lesson learned?!
"You didn't stop the party!"
More than hot dogs boiling in that pot!
Sylvia gets in the shower room because dude took his sweet ass time getting the beer from the fridge.
Down the mine they go. So much for safety first. Their big mistake? Splitting up as they usually do in these movies.
They have to climb up from the elevator shaft in the dark. My ass would have followed the rail car tracks back up the way the went down.
Snapped that dudes neck into!
The town rushes to save the survivors.
They should have took there as up in the damn rail car....
The reason Axel is fucked up in the head, He saw his dad killed by Harry when he was just a boy...

Watching Buffy: Welcome to the Hellmouth
Before Buffy I never really watched much television. This show sparked my interest, and later my addiction.
This episode starts with the one and only Darla feeding. I love Darla in all her evilness. She is the 1st anti-Buffy! Although short-lived. I know it should be a bad thing to think and like her in this way because Buffy rocks, but I like both the evil and good. They both bring me equal pleasure.
Mr. Flutie, principal no.1, Buffy's first day at Sunnydale! She meets Cordelia, and the gang.
Also there is the meeting of the watcher, Mr. Giles, and this awesome book "VAMPYR".
Buffy also hooks up with Willow and Zandar and learns there is a dead body on campus.
I would loved to have had a library filled with books on the occult like this one!
"The sleeper will wake and the world will bleed"
In a dark alley Buffy meets Angel, and gets a shiny silver cross!
The Bronz! An awesome place. Our teen clubs where not this progressive, but it was the 80's and Tiffany, The Cure, and Dead or Alive ruled the airways. From the A list to the D list! Buffy's social vibe becomes critical.
The Master rises and becomes Buffy's nightmare man. Although he is stuck in the ground so he really doesn't rise that far. The best cemetery ever in any television series!
Buffy learns of the Harvest and fights for her and her friends lives.
"And like a plague of boils the race of man covered the earth".

Vampire-y Bloody Goodness Night!
Tonight was my favorite night of television thus far...True Blood, and The Gates. These two shows have been my network salvation this season.
For me the most exciting thing this season is the whole werewolf onslaught on the scene. Alcide, I am hoping for him and Sookie, well maybe Eric too! That would be hot. However after watching "Trouble" tonight my only thoughts are about who is gonna die! Well also, how much more can Tara take?
Now The Gates, although more white-washed for the network crowd, doesn't have such aggressive story lines, I do enjoy the show a lot. Mostly the whole realm of the occult being present, from sucubi to witches, wolves. vamps, and gods know what else.
I gotta say I love Sunday nights.....
