Bill Oberst Jr.’s horror film “Ditch” has released the first images from the upcoming movie that is a blend of thriller and slasher. The film is in the last stages of post-production and also stars Katy Foley, Zach Silverman and a special appearance by cult icon Lynn Lowry. Oberst says the film will be "something different in horror; a brutal film with plenty of sizzle and blood but also with a surprising amount of heart and real characters you'll care about. I am proud of what we did and honored to have been a part of it."
The actor says a big moment in filming for him was working for the first time with Lynn Lowry, with whom he says his character has "a bit of a sensual post-mortem moment" with.
DITCH is directed by Joe Hendrick, who is also considering helming Oberst's 2013 demon project LORD BATEMAN, with a screenplay by horror author Daniel P. Coughlin & Ryan Coughlin. Producer is Megan Waters, with gore effects by Josh Russell. The film is aiming for a 2013 release date.
"Jenny Bilson, a high school senior, is the perfect student, a wonderful daughter to a veteran police detective and an all American Dream. But the one mistake she made, which she doesn't even know that she made is about to haunt her in a very violent way. Throwing a high school 'ditch party' will end up being one HELL of a mistake as the her past returns to exact revenge on Jenny and anyone else who might get in the way."
